  14. The Student Guide 2001-02 The US Department of Education has placed online the 2001-2002 edition of its comprehensive Student Guide for Financial Aid. The three major aid programs of the Department: Pell Grants, Stafford Loans, and PLUS Loans, account for a full 70 percent of all student financial aid disbursed in the US. Available in both HTML and .pdf formats, this guide is a useful resource for information about these programs and how to apply for them. Users can also browse for a select topic using a pull-down menu in the top right-hand side of the page. A short list of important phone numbers and websites is provided.
